In our family, the tradition of naming our children has always been a collaborative and meaningful process. Mother Wendy selects the first name, while father John chooses the middle name. When our second child was born, Wendy chose the name "Karter," and John selected "Stirling" as his middle name. This choice was inspired by the historic Scottish victory at the Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297, a significant event in our family's heritage symbolizing freedom and vigilance. By naming our son Karter Stirling, we aimed to instill in him the values of resilience and courage that this historic event embodies.

In 2021, we faced the unimaginable loss of Karter at the age of 20. To honor his memory and passions, we founded Stirling Integrated Solutions, reflecting both his middle name and the enduring spirit of determination and freedom associated with the Battle of Stirling Bridge.

Our company stands as a tribute to Karter's legacy and our family's Scottish roots, embodying the principles of perseverance and service in all that we do.

Stirling Integrated Solutions was born from a passion for Artificial Intelligence and a deep desire to help others. At the heart of our company is the legacy of our Forever 20 son, Karter "Stirling" Kirkwood, who passed away in 2021.

Karter was studying Electrical Engineering and had developed a deep interest in AI—not just for its technological potential, but for how it could be used to make the world a better place. An empath by nature, Karter was always looking for ways to uplift others, a value that continues to inspire everything we do.

After his passing, Karter’s father embraced his fascination with AI and began exploring ways to use it to help friends and family—whether in content creation, business solutions, or digital innovation. What started as a personal journey soon grew into something more. By the latter half of 2024, John and Wendy Kirkwood decided to launch Stirling Integrated Solutions as a way to blend their passion for AI with their lifelong commitment to service.

With decades spent in ministry service and nonprofit leadership, we’ve dedicated our lives to making a difference. Stirling Integrated Solutions carries that same mission forward—leveraging AI to help businesses thrive, streamline operations, and enhance customer experiences.
